Valencia 2-3 Real Madrid

Sorry I took long to do this post-match report but I'm not able to use the internet constantly recently since it has stopped working at home. Have to be in a coffee shop to do this for now.

For this game, we need to first take into account the pre-match "drama" mostly created by Valencia. Bringing in the whole aspect of "revenge" from people such as Roberto Soldado (ex-Madrista), Sergio Canales (on loan from Real Madrid) and their coach, Unai Emery, they made this game even more exciting that it was first anticipated after the last game between them ended 6-3 to the Whites.

Real Madrid walked into the Mestalla pitch and shocked everyone when they decided to wear their third kit, the red jersey. They've worn it only once before in the opening game of the Champions League against Dinamo Zaghreb, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Whites. With Ricardo Carvalho, Angel Di Maria and Kaka all injured, this game was going to be difficult for sure.

Karim Benzema kept up his great season after scoring a great goal in the first half to make it 1-0 to Madrid after 20 minutes. This game was going great. To make it even better, Sergio Ramos was able to make it 2-0 with a great header that went off the post on the 72nd minute. With little time to go, this looked like another great win for Real Madrid. Roberto Soldado proved everyone wrong after making it 2-1 only 3 minutes later. Now this game was intense.

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up his game to make it 3-1 after 79 minutes and everything was back to "normal" until Valencia caught Real Madrid on the back foot and Soldado was able to get the ball past Iker Casillas yet again on the 83rd minute. The next 11 minutes (including added time) was what pretty much made this game one of the most epic games that I personally have ever seen.

Valencia going all-in against Real Madrid with shot after shot while the Whites could only sit back and defend. A "penalty" that wasn't called after Gonzalo Higuain apparently hit the ball with his hand in the box which was later proven that it actually hit his chest. Yellow cards flying all over the place from the ref as it seemed that this is a game that is too much for him to possibly handle. The final whistle. Real Madrid get three very valuable points.

We suffered and we won. We showed that we are possibly the most in-form team around. Valencia played well and could have beaten us at anytime but we stayed strong and have shown all of our capabilities. That was a great game for anyone to watch. Real Madrid stay top of the league, three points ahead of Barcelona, only three weeks away from the much anticipated Clasico.

Worst Real Madrid Player: Mesut Ozil
Best Real Madrid Player: Iker Casillas
