Real Madrid 4-0 Lyon

Earlier today in the Champions League Group Stage, the Real Madrid fans witnessed a great game from the Whites. They played their hearts out and came out with a convincing 4-0 win which could have easily been more!

They started off slow but once Karim Benzema was able to score on the 19th minute, the game was ours. The passing, the shooting, the tricks, and the teamwork were all there throughout the game and chances kept coming even though the first half ended 1-0.

During the second half, Real Madrid were able to step up their came even more as Benzema unselfishly assisted Sami Khedira, who was able to score his first ever goal for Madrid on the 47th minute. Mesut Ozil scored on the 55th minute though it is most probably going to be counted as an own goal by Lyon's goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris and then to end it, Sergio Ramos scored with a nice finish on the 80th minute.

During the first half, Benzema scored another goal but was controversially ruled out since Xabi Alonso played the free-kick before the whistle was blown and received a yellow card for it even though the goal should have counted. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in the second half but was also ruled out due to Mesut Ozil being offside even though he had nothing to do with the play at all. Either way, it was a great win.

This game was a very enjoyable game to watch especially since Lyon have somewhat become our rivals in the Champions League since we've played them pretty much every year usually in the second round. So, that makes the win even more enjoyable for all Madrisimo's around the world. It was great to see our players play the way they did today and we're just hoping for more to come in the weekend game against Malaga!

I have to sat that I was a little disappointed to see that Kaka was on the bench today though, he's had some amazing games recently and it would have been really nice to see him starting yet again ahead of Angel Di Maria but in the end, looks like Jose Mourinho made the right choice and I'm just hoping to see Kaka in the starting lineup again when we go against Pelligrini's Malaga.

Best Real Madrid Player: Karim Benzema
Worst Real Madrid Player: Cristiano Ronaldo

I never thought that Ronaldo would be considered as Real Madrid's worst player during any game but tonight he was able to prove me wrong. Now, there may be some of you who disagree with that but he was very disappointing with his shots and his dribbling. Too far off his usual best and tonight was considered poor in comparison to when he even has his bad days. Taking all this into consideration, everyone had a very good game and no matter how good of a player you are, sooner or later there will be a bad game and tonight, it was Ronaldo's time.
