Lebanon 2-2 Kuwait

Yesterday, I decided to check out the World Cup Qualifier game between Lebanon and Kuwait. To be completely honest, I expected a very boring game with a comfortable win for Kuwait, which is why I decided to join some friends at a cafe and take my laptop so that I can maybe do some work while being able to check out the major highlights of the game.

I was completely wrong.

The game started off quite boring, yes, until Lebanon were able to break the deadlock after only 15 minutes with a really nice goal from Hassan Maatouk. Then things started to get interesting as both teams started attacking as much as possible. Kuwait were finally able to get the equalizer after 50 minutes through Mesaed Nada.

As the game kept going on, it got more interesting and Lebanon suddenly got a penalty which was easily converted i from Hassan Maatouk only five minutes before the game ended! With things looking really bad for Kuwait, they were hoping for some kind of miracle. A miracle is what they got only three minutes later as Mohammad Younes scored an own goal! With 8 minutes added time, Kuwait and Lebanon both kept trying and both had really good chances but the equalizer was the end of it.

It was a great game to watch with a lot of chances and some controversy during it. Both teams tried really hard and the atmosphere was great!
