As the day wore on, Barcelona took on Real Soceidad in what looked to be a very comfortable game and their coach, Pep Guardiola, seemed to think so too when he decided to rest Leonel Messi. And, as some people expected, the Catalans were already leading by two goals after only 11 minutes as Xavi and Cesc Fabregas scored. Second half, Real Sociedad took things into their own hands by grabbing two shocking goals in the space of two minutes to finish the game with one point each
Real Madrid needed this win even more now...
The game started off fairly well, with Real Madrid fielding the same starting 11 that beat Real Zaragoza 6-0 on the opening week of La Liga. Karim Benzema was able to break the deadlock on the 14th minute and things were beginning to look good for the Whites. Getafe slowly started getting the rhythm into their game and had a few great chances to equalize while Madrid were really not looking to sharp
Getafe were finally able to get the goal at the 39th minute from Miku and that's how things ended the first half, leaving everyone on the edge of their seats not knowing what to expect during the next 45 minutes
As the game kept going, Getafe were the team who looked more likely to take the lead but in the 60th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo was able to concede a penalty and then score it to make it 2-1 to Madrid and things finally started looking up as Karim Benzema was able to score a great goal after a fantastic assist from Cristiano Ronaldo to put the Whites two goals ahead 3-1.
With about 15 minutes left, Miku was suddenly able to capitalize on a great chance to add suspense to the game and make it 3-2. Then Gonzalo Higuain was able to come on and with very little time on the pitch, scored a nice goal on the 88th minute and end the game 4-2.
That was a great game overall but Madrid need to go back to their comfortable playing as soon as possible because, even though we won the game, we could have easily lost it.
