Real Madrid hosted Ajax Amsterdam for the second Champions League game of the season after winning the last game 1-0 against Dinamo Zagreb. The game started off miserably with Ajax making Madrid feel very uncomfortable for the start and almost scoring. Then, in a great team effort and passes that were perfect, Cristiano Ronaldo was finally able to break the deadlock. From then forward, Real Madrid had control of the whole game and ended up winning 3-0 (which could have easily been more) with great goals coming from Kaka and Karim Benzema!
Looks like Real Madrid are slowly, but surely, starting to get back into the game now after a bad week which saw them only get one point from two games. Since then, they were able to get two fairly convincing wins against Rayo Vallecano in the league and now Ajax in the Champions League. The fans seem to be getting a little more secure when it comes to the games and lets just all hope that it stays that way.
Another point worth bringing up is the long-awaited debut of the Turkish international, Hamit Altintop. He has been suffering with injuries since signing for Real Madrid last summer and has now finally been able to play for the Whites after coming on as an 83rd minute substitute. Nothing major to point out from Altintop yet, but hopefully a great future awaits him at the "White House"
