And it continues...
Real Madrid went to Santander knowing very well what is expected of them and, unexpectedly, they were not able to deliver. Starting with some new faces such as Varane and Callejon, things were looking quite well in the opening minutes.
Overall, in my opinion, the game was a disaster. Real Madrid simply could not find any spaces to take advantage of and most of their shots went wide. During the whole game, there were only two shots on goal, one from each team. Things are surely not looking good for the Whites after this game ended and now, many people really don't know what to expect anymore.
All types of excuses were made about losing such as the usual blaming of the referee. Well, the referee did quite well and does not e=deserve to be blamed. We have to face the truth, our playing is simply going wrong. Why? I don't know but that is the truth the Mourinho needs to fix it. Quick. Luckily for us, Barcelona drew 2-2 against Valencia at the Mestalla and they're still only one point ahead but we won't always get that lucky. And there are still Valencia and Real Betis that we have to keep an eye on.
So, let's fix this soon while we still can because some Madristas are starting to give up after only four games! If you have any ideas on how, please feel free to comment.
Worst Real Madrid player: Jose Callejon
Best Real Madrid player: Alvaro Arbeloa
*It might be harsh to put Callejon as the worst player since he only played for the first half and he really hasn't played much but he was taken off at half time for a reason. And, in my opinion, he had a terrible game compared to what we've seen him do before.
Other games:
Valencia 2-2 Barcelona
Atletico Madrid 4-0 Sporting Gijon
Rayo Vallecano 1-2 Levante
Malaga 1-0 Athletic Bilbao
Juventus 1-1 Bologna
