Real Madrid 3-0 Sevilla

With four games left in La Liga, Real Madrid have to win two to confirm the title and they took a big step towards that on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho was able to field a strong starting XI after a very difficult few games: Iker Casillas, Alvaro Arbeloa, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso, Esteban Granero, Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema.

The first half was very intense with both teams finding some great chances. Cristiano Ronaldo was able to get the opening goal after only 19 minutes. There were a lot of missed chances from both sides as Ronaldo and Karim Benzema missed for Real Madrid, while Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo missed some golden opportunities for Sevilla.

The second half was a little bit different though as Real Madrid pushed even harder. Three minutes into the half, Karim Benzema made it 2-0 after a great assist from Angel Di Maria. And four minutes later, on the 52nd minute, he was able to score a brace after a beautiful cross from Sergio Ramos to make it 3-0.

The game was something that Real Madrid needed after being knocked out of the Champions League. Thy needed this win to get themselves back on track and they did it perfectly. They now need one more win in any of their next three games with their next one coming on Wednesday against Athletic Bilbao in San Mames. Let's hope they are able to finish their objective there! Hala Madrid!
