Real Madrid 1-1 Malaga

It was bound to happen. Everyone saw this day coming sooner or later. Real Madrid's 11-game winning streak has now come to an end.

Real Madrid started the game with a strong squad: Iker Casillas, Lassana Diarra, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Sami Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, and Karim Benzema. They came out wearing shirts supporting Eric Abidal and Fabrice Muamba.

The game started off a little shaky with Malaga having a few good chances but the Men in White were able to finally take the lead after a clean finish by Karim Benzema on the 35th minute. The game kept going well but Madrid never seemed to be able to take full control of the game as many of their passes went astray and they didn't seem to fully understand each other at times. Malaga's goalkeeper, Willy Caballero, made a few unbelievable saves to keep his team in the game with shots from Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, and Benzema somehow being saved in spectacular fashion.

The second half started and people who have been watching Real Madrid know that usually they come out strong and ready after some kind of pep talk from Jose Mourinho. That wasn't the case for that game though as it seemed like nothing really changed. Real Madrid arguably deserved a couple penalties but these things happen in the game. The main reason we drew the game was not because of unfair refereeing, but because we just couldn't score no matter what happens. Both teams had their chances but Malaga were able to score on the 92nd minute after a great free kick by Santiago Cazorla, which left Real Madrid unable to get the winner with barely any time left.

Real Madrid need to come back to playing how they used to during most of the season or else they will keep dropping points. We are not 8 points ahead of Barcelona and, even though it's still a safe lead, we need to be careful since there is still a good amount of games left this season.

Best Real Madrid Player: Mesut Ozil
